Oral Presentation Guidelines

General Information

Twenty minutes have been allotted to each regular oral presentation comprising 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and speaker setup. Most keynote speakers have 40 minutes including the 5 minutes for questions. Please stay within these time limits.

Preferred format is widescreen (or 16:9), but other options will be accepted. Please note that the convention centre computers are being supplied with PowerPoint 2013 and Adobe Acrobat, using Windows 7. The speaker ready room 201A will be available to check that your presentation works correctly.

Each room is equipped with a microphone, a computer, a projector and a screen. Using your own computer will be allowed in exceptional circumstances: your request must be made the day before at the speaker ready desk and authorized by the organizers. A compatibility test of your equipment will be required. Please note that the time used to switch computer will be deducted from the allotted 20-minutes. Macintosh users should make sure to have their own Mini DisplayPort to HDMI.

Speaker Ready Room (201A) and presentation upload

All speakers are required to check-in at the Speaker Ready Room to upload their presentation at least 3 hours prior to the start of their session, or the day before for early morning sessions. The staff will be available to answer your questions and will upload your presentation from your USB memory stick and download it directly to the computer in your conference room. It will be impossible to upload your presentation on the computer in the conference room.

The opening hours for the Speaker Ready Room are:
